A few months before turning 12, my family went to Kona (on the Big Island) where my parents did a CDTS in YWAM (Yeah, Youth With A Mission has acronyms for everything). Thanks to that, I got to spend some time in Japan, Hong Kong, China, and the Philippines (though I contracted SARS in Hong Kong, making my stay rather unpleasant... and I never left the airport in Japan). From there, a few months into the year 2003, we moved out to Colorado Springs. I've made friends for the first time since moving out here.
