The light is now fading, the cold dusk has come.
It wasn't even December when I wrote it--in fact, that day wasn't even cold (though this was at night). Like most of my poems, I simply felt like it. I was listening to Jars of Clay's "Who We Are Instead" and I thought, I just have to put that phrase in a poem. I didn't. I changed it to the line that reads "To solve this one riddle: Who am I?". It just didn't fit (not to mention I would probably have violated some copyright laws).
