Two Sides
6-30-06

Love and hate, life and death,
Opposites closer than they seem.
They are but two sides of one coin,
Neither one the other sees.
Pain and peace, guilt and faith,
Joy and sorrow, trust and fear,
Knowledge and ignorance, all of them
More connected than they appear.
Wisdom and folly, harmony and discord,
Though it seems unreal for them to join,
Like love and hate, or life and death,
They are but two sides of a single coin.

There's this part in Chrono Cross where Lynx says something to the effect of, "Love and hate, life and death... they are two sides of one coin." That was a cool phrase, so I wrote a bit about it. I would've gone longer but I couldn't think of many other cool sounding opposites. 'Cept maybe day and night, but that's not long enough.
