A Quest for Revenge | Written late 2005, which means very poorly
The Queen of the dark elves stole everything from Celeste--her kingdom, her family, her future. Now, after eighty-one years, the once elfin princess finds the clue that will lead her to her foe, and to her destiny: the first brick on the path to revenge.

The Aandriilien | Written early 2006, which also means quite poorly
She dreamed Aradia of the Moon was coming to the hidden kingdom of the Aandriilien, but none would heed her. Brother and sister, Arden and Ava, both dreaming the same dream; and left with none to cling to but each other. For on the night of the full moon, nightmares can become reality...

Forgive Me | 9-20-07
Being a rebel was easy to Tristan before. But it's different this time. She doesn't understand. She couldn't. It's just not the same. When frail man must face the most difficult decisions of life, along with betrayals of the highest degree, sometimes he breaks. Sometimes he shatters. Sometimes he runs away. Sometimes... he seeks forgiveness where there is none.

The Potion | 8-14-08
Humanity is a pitiful race. We claim faith in life after death, but when death strikes those we love, we refuse to accept it. Now that science has progressed so far, it's clearer than ever. The potion can't return life, for its makers were not gods, though they believed it. We can bring back the human body. We can never bring back the human soul.

Love and Judgment | 11-6-08
He has been trapped in between the realms of the living and dead for thirty years now, doomed to be the spirit of Judgment for the murderers until he finds the one who so long ago murdered him. Memory is that sickly sweet indulgence he rarely permits; but this one last time, he will allow himself to remember the way things once were, and the woman he once loved--and in his heart, loves still.

A Traitor's Soul | Originally written 10-9-08; revamped 1-31-09
Fate brought the two men together, and now she tears them apart. The price of petty vengeance proves too high for a tormented fool to pay, a realization come too late. Guilt is too great a burden for some to bear, and he finds only a coward's solution. For he must run, lest he be forced to see what he has become. He must behold his fatal sin: a traitor's soul resides within.

The Coward or the Hero | 3-20-09
She was everything to him, his whole world, but he was no longer hers. Is heroism something one is born with, or something one must forge for himself? And just what truly defines a man--all the times he makes mistakes, or the one time he overcomes them?

Character Compositions

The Scene | 11-11-06, poorly written, please excuse my adolescent emo-ness
There was something about that scene that she simply couldn't forget. It may have been the lifeless eyes of the dead. Or maybe it was the lifeless eyes of the killer.
Composition is from the perspective of Alexis Gate, character in my comic idea Killer Instinct, while transported into the mind and memory of Matthias Harding.

Lost | 11-28-06, a lot of emo-ness to palate in this one also
Confusion is the center of the piece, confusion and denial about what one has become. It is not glamorous to be one who survives only by others' death.
Composition is from the perspective of an unknown character.

One to Another | 8-9-07
One doesn't have to be a real father to bring the comfort a father does. One man envies another for the love he never had. One man's mask becomes too brittle to keep up anymore. And two bleeding hearts find healing in each other a way they never could alone.
Composition is from the perspective of Matthias Harding, main character of my comic idea Killer Instinct. Other characters mentioned are Yuki and Yori, twins, members of an organization Matt ends up in.

Morning | 8-28-07
The day is dawning, the morning is bright; cheer is deceiving and ignorance is bliss.
A contrast piece written from the perspective of an unknown young man.

Just That | 5-16-08
This love may just be an illusion--but it's so easy to be swept away. She knows it, of course. But she stays anyway. It's just that sweet smell of delusion. That sweet sound of his voice.
A stream-of-consciousness piece written from the perspective of an unknown young woman.

Resignation | 5-29-08
She was just another woman to everyone else. But she was everything to him. Don't tell him to accept reality anymore; he accepts nothing. He can accept nothing, until his beloved is avenged.
Composition is from the perspective of an unknown young man.

Time | 7-29-08
The past is the past, what is lost is lost, what is done is done. All actions have consequences; things change. If only time would stand still...
Composition is from the perspective of an unknown character.

Why | 8-8-08
On rainy days like this, all I can do is wonder. Why do you hate me?
Composition is from the perspective of an unknown character, but at least the main question is based off me.

To Dawn | 11-4-08
We sit here in the stillness of night, remembering the sunset and dreading the coming dawn.
Composition actually a poetic form of my own perspective.

Silence | 5-27-09
Morning will come soon, but the ghosts will not leave. She sits there in the darkness, watching the candle flicker; she cannot make sense of the tragedy, but neither can she let him go.
Composition is from the perspective of an unknown lady. Yes, it incorporates a lot of Shakespeare.

The Fall | 12-8-09
He told himself to take just one more step--just one more step into the dungeon to loose his chains. He was falling, and we told ourselves we didn't care.
Composition is from the perspective of an unknown character.
